I had the opportunity and privilege to undertake my third-year placement with the Water of Leith Conservation Trust. To me, the water of Leith is truly the heart of Edinburgh, a solace of nature peeking throughout the city. I captured the volunteers' important work in diligently taking care of the walkway – cleaning up, weeding out giant hogweeds, and making sure it always looked presentable and usable. I also got to capture the changing of the seasons – from winter into spring – along the walkway, and one of my favourite parts of this placement was exploring the walk on a weekly basis and being surrounded by the nature that the Trust work hard to keep beautiful.
